Origin: Arabic

Zid is an Urdu word, it means “the contrary, opposition, stubbornness, obstinate” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “vipreet/विपरीत, vipaksh/विपक्ष, hat/हठ, hathila/हठीला.”
