Khatir/Khaatir (खातिर)

Origin: Arabic

Khatir an Urdu word, it means “the heart/mind/memory/sake/behalf/choice/favor” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “dil/दिल, mann/मन, smriti/स्मृति, liye/लिए, ki aur se/की और से, chunaav/चुनाव, paksha/पक्ष.”

For eg: “Dil tere hi khatir rakh chhod diya hai.” which means, “I have left my heart, just for you.”
