Khata/Khataa (खता)

Origin: Arabic

Khata is an Urdu word, it means “mistake/slip/oversight/error” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “galti/गलती, chook/चूक, ashavdhaani/असावधानी, truti/त्रुटी.”

For eg: “Chaaha tujhko dil ne toh ho gayi kya khataa.” which means, “If my heart loved you, then is it a mistake.”
