Khaak (ख़ाक)

Origin: Persian

Khaak an Urdu word, it means “earth/dust/ashes/pointless/waste” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “prithvi/पृथ्वी, dhool/धुल, raakh/राख, vyarth/व्यर्थ, bekaar/बेकार.”

For eg: “Kya khaak dosti hai, daftar ki naukri hai, karne ko dil nahi hai, magar kare jao.” which means, “friendship with you is pointless, it’s like an office job, even if I don’t want, I keep doing it.”
