Jaam (जाम)

Origin: Persian

Jaam is an Urdu word, it means “goblet” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “pyaala/प्याला.”

For eg: “Hamare hath se do-chaar jaam pee leeje” which means, “please drink with two-four glasses of wine (goblet,) with my hands.”
