Iqraar/Ekraar

Origin: Arabic

Iqraar is an Urdu word, it means “promise/pledge/confession/declaration/covenant” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “vaada/pratigya/byaan/ghosna/prashnvida.”

For eg: “Pyaar hua, ikraar hua hai, pyaar se phir kyoon darrta hai dil” which means “love happened, pledge happened( committed), then why does the heart fear of love.”
