Imaan

Origin: Arabic

Imaan is an Urdu word, it means “belief/faith/creed/conscience”in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “vishvaash/nirbharta/panth/antaratma ki aawaz/antasyachetna.”

For eg: “Jaan dete, usko jahan dete, apna imaan dete, jiski bhi baahein gale mein daale” which means “we give them our lives, the world and our faith to them in whoever’s neck we put our arms around.”
