Dard (दर्द)

Origin: Persian

Dard is an Urdu word, it means “pain/affliction/sympathy/compassion” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “peeda/पीड़ा, kasht/कष्ट, sahanubhuti/सहानुभूति, daya/दया.”

For eg:Pyar ka dard hai meetha meetha, pyara pyara” which means, “the pain of love is sweet, and lovely.”
