Daam (दाम)

Origin: Persian

Daam is an Urdu word, it means “net, snare” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “jaal/जाल, fanda/फंदा.”

Daam (Origin: Hindi) also means “price, value” in English, while in Hindi it’s also called as “keemat/कीमत, mulya/मूल्य.”

For eg:Koyi shaam bulaaye, koyi daam lagaaye” which means, “someone calls me for the evenings, someone sets a price for me.”
