Origin: Persian
Bimaar is an Urdu word, it means “sick/ill” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “roggrast/रोगग्रस्त, aswastha/अस्वस्थ”
For eg: “Ek anaar sau bimaar” which means, “One pomegranate, hundred sick.” However, the actual meaning of this hindi proverb, is “same thing wanted by lot of people.”
