Arz (अर्ज)

Origin: Arabic

Arz is an Urdu word, it means “petition/request/exposition/review” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “nirdesh/aadesh/maargdarshan.”

For eg: “Arz bhi mera marz bhi ” which means, “My request and my sickness, too”

 

Arz also means “land/region/earth” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “bhoomi/chetra/prithvi.”

Arz also means “width” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “chau-dhaayi.”
