Aafat

Origin: Arabic

Aafat is an Urdu word, it means “evil/disaster/misfortune/trouble” in English, while in Hindi it’s called as “burai/aapda/durbhagaya”

For eg: “Ek zara masoom se dil ki aafat ho gayi” which means “A little innocent heart is in trouble.”
