निसर्गतगत:च लोकगीते लिहिण्याची आवड सागर बेंद्रेला लाभले आहे. तर अफलातून आवाज साजन बेंद्रे याच्याकडे आहे. ही दोन्ही भावंड आज महाराष्ट्राची कलेच्या माध्यमातून सेवा करीत आहेत. कामानिमित्त सोलापूर जिल्ह्यातून हे कुटूंब इचलकरंजीत आले. सागर आणि साजन बेंद्रेचे वडील यंत्रमागावर काम करुन संसाराचा गाडा चालवू लागले. दोन्ही मुलांनीही आपल्या कुटूंबाला हात लावत शिक्षण घेण्यास सुरुवात केली. परंतु गायनाची आवड असलेल्या या दोघांनीही आपली कला जोपासली. सागर गाण्यांच्या चाली रचायचा आणि साजन त्या चालीवर गाणी म्हणायचा. असा यांचा रोजचा दिनक्रम. शाळेचा बॅण्ड, भजनाचा आवाज, जागर-गोंधळ अशा सगळ्या ठिकाणी त्यांची उपस्थिती ठरलेली असायची. एका कॅसेटवर त्यांना चंदन कांबळे यांची गीते ऐकावयास मिळाली व त्याच वेळी त्यांनी कधी न भेटलेल्या व न पाहिलेल्या व्यक्तीला आपला गुरु मानला. गुरुला भेटण्याची प्रखर इच्छेने त्यांना पुण्याला जावयास भाग पाडले. पुण्यामध्ये एका हॉटेलात कफ विसळत त्यांनी गुरुचा शोध सुरुच ठेवला. त्यानंतर त्यांना आपल्या गुरुचा पत्ता मिळाला आणि त्यांनी गुरुचे घर गाठले. चंदन कांबळे या गुरुंनी त्यांना हृदयाशी कवटाळले आणि त्यांना लखाबाई आली वाड्याला या तुळजापूरातील पहिल्या गाण्यामध्ये संधी दिली. दोघांनीही मिळालेल्या संधीचं सोनं केलं आणि खऱ्या अर्थाने त्यांचा गायिकेचा प्रवास सुरु झाला. यानिमित्ताने या दोन्ही बंधूंना आणखी एक संगीतकार गुरु साथीला मिळाला. या तिघांनी मिळून भिमाचं गाणं डीजेला वाजतयं… या भीमगीताची निर्मीती केली. या गीताने त्यांना यशोशिखरावर नेले. त्यानंतर शालू नाच नाच, नाचायला लागली शालू, वाजतयं ढंगळांगऽ टकळांगऽ अशी अनेक गाणी त्यांनी लिहिली व गायिली.

या गाण्याने गणेशोत्सवात युवकांना डोलावयास लावले. पाहता पाहता अवघ्या सहा महिन्यात सोशल मिडियामध्ये या गाण्याने धुमाकूळ घातला. 1 कोटी 16 लाख व्ह्युज मिळविली. विविध चॅनेलनी हे गाणे वाजवण्यास सुरुवात केली. विशेष म्हणजे 9÷नस या संगीत चॅनेलवर हे गाणं दिवसातून तब्बल 40 ते 45 वेळा आज वाजत आहे. हे या गाण्याचे विशेषच म्हणावे लागेल. मराठी गाण्यांचे अनेक रेकॉर्डस्‌ या गाण्याने केंव्हाच मागे टाकली आहेत. जवा बघतिस तु माझ्याकडं…. मला आमदार झाल्यासारखं वाटतयं, हे गाणं सध्या महाराष्ट्रात वाजत आहे. अवघ्या दोन महिन्यात 26 लाख प्रेक्षकांनी यु-ट्युबच्या माध्यमातून याला पसंती दिली आहे. अनेक नवीन गाणी आता सागर व साजन बेंद्रे यांची येत आहेत. गाण्याची लोकप्रियता पाहून दिग्दर्शक निलेश आहेर यांचा दडपण चित्रपट येत आहे. या चित्रपटात सागरचे गाणे असणार आहे. नगर जिल्ह्यातील खरडा या गावामध्ये झगमगाय लागलयं…. या गाण्याचे चित्रीकरण झाले आहे. यशोशिखर गाठत असतानाही सागर आणि साजन या दोघांचं नातं आपल्या कोल्हापूर जिल्ह्याशी व इचलकरंजीशी घट्ट आहे. त्यांचे पाय आजही जमिनीवर आहेत. अनेक नवीन गाणी आपल्या भेटीला – सागर बेंद्रे साजन व विशाल संगीत देत असलेली अनेक गाणी लवकरच रसिकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहेत. आमदार झाल्यासारखं वाटतयं त्याचबरोबर देखा हे पहली बार, ही गाणी सध्या महाराष्ट्रात वाजत आहेत. याहून सरस गाणी आम्ही रसिक श्रोत्यांना लवकरच देणार आहोत. युवकांचा मोठा प्रतिसाद लाभत आहे. अशीच सेवा करण्याची संधी महाराष्ट्रातील रसिक कलाकारांनी आम्हाला द्यावी, असे गीतकार सागर बेंद्रे यांनी सांगितले.
