Artist Biography
Saad Hayat is a charismatic, positive thinker and a man that truly lives and breathes music. As one of SAE London’s esteemed alumni, he has gone on to make it big in his home country of Pakistan, where he is well-known for his top recording and production studio, Saad Hayat Music.

His early memories shed light on his lifelong passion for music. When taken to the toy shop by his father as a youngster, Saad recalls only ever choosing a keyboard or toy piano over his brothers’ choices of toy cars and blocks. He also remembers being able to hear a tune and naturally play along.
It was only halfway through training to be a chartered accountant that Saad realised he didn’t want the typical 9-5 job, so from the encouragement of senior musicians and producers, he sought to study music and audio abroad. “I did my fair bit of research and found that SAE was one of the best in terms of lecturers and facilities, especially the London campus,” Saad explains.
Thus, Saad moved to London to complete his studies and was able to learn the technical skills needed to enhance his talent and shape him into a professional.
“The hands-on experience, the intensive learning process, numerous hours in the studios, the knowledgeable and experienced lecturers, supervisors and guest speakers, all played an important part in not only upgrading my skill set but also helped with my approach to productions and projects.”
Saad completed his studies, and fast forward a couple of years to 2013, he moved back to Pakistan and was able to hit the ground running.
“My career took a big push after returning from SAE. Mainly because of the skill set I acquired. My productions sounded big and professional. My workflow became quicker and organised. I am a better music professional, musician and a producer compared to what I was before for sure.”
Since his return, Saad has produced music and sound design for roughly 52 TV commercials, 13 TV shows, 4 films, 10 artists/bands and 2 of the biggest award shows in Pakistan, and Saad Hayat Music is one of the top facilities in the country. His career highlights cover both his time as a musician and a producer. Playing live as a session keyboard player with mainstream bands and releasing his debut single last year were two key stand-out moments. In terms of being a producer, his highlights include producing the music and visuals for the biggest award show in Pakistan and every time he sees his name in the end credits of big film projects he’s worked on.
While it might seem that Saad has achieved so much in such a short time, he explains that there is no shortcut to success. “One needs to be on his toes. You need to constantly upgrade your skills and be current and while you do that you need to be out there and sell yourself and your work well.”
For him, it has actually been a relatively long journey to where he is now: he has been playing concerts for more than 15 years and producing professionally for 4 years.
