Anurag Kulkarni is an Indian playback singer from Hyderabad, who recently[when?] made his debut in Telugu Film Industry. He hails from Basara of Nirmal district but settled in Hyderabad.His father is a Marathi community and mother is Telugu family from Kamareddy.He got into fame after winning first prize in Idea Super Singer Season 8 (2015) which is a popular show in MAA TV.
He started learning Hindustani classical music with late Sri. Kakunoori jangaiah ji, a renowned Hindustani vocalist and guru in Hyderabad. He learnt for over 3 years where he was introduced to kirana gharana style of singing.
